The Barguest is a supernatural beast that usually takes the form of an enormous dog.
The Barguest is as a black dog the size of a mastiff, with horns, fangs and fiery eyes.
The mere sight of it bodes disaster or death, Don't try to approach it or pass in front of it unless you are it's companion, it will inflict a terrible wound that never heals. It is nothing to be trifled with, it is dangerous and considered BA.
It has scared the soup out of me a few times. It manifests as shadows on the wall or a strange black dog staring at you intently.
